Firstly make sure you have put on your eye makeup, mascara and eyeliner. Remove the lashes gently from the packaging and gently flex the band a few times before aligning the band with the natural lash line to check the fit. If necessary, trim the outer end with scissors for the perfect fit. I like to keep the piece I cut off and apply it on my bottom lashes in the outer corner.
Apply a thin line of eyelash adhesive/glue – my favourite is DUO surgical glue, I find this glue really lasts and doesn’t irritate or itch my eyes at all. I apply the glue to the lashes with the end of a toothpick or small makeup brush and sometimes use the lashes box as a palette.
Wait for 30 seconds until the adhesive becomes tacky.

Place band against eyelid as close to the lash roots as possible – you can either do this with your fingers or with tweezers (practise makes perfect!) Gently press down the corners and along the band to secure. You can move the lashes if needed. If needed you can apply further eyeliner and wiggle your mascara gently to blend in the lashes with your own. And Ta da!
To remove, gently peel lashes off lid starting at the outer corner and remove the adhesive with cleanser or eye makeup remover. If you look after your lashes well they can be worn a few times.

ReplyDeleteThese are great tips. I've been looking for a good eyelash glue, so I guess I'll try DUO surgical glue.
