Kate Middleton and Prince William released their engagement photos yesterday and it was nice to see Kate choosing pieces from the highstreet rather than designer. In the formal portrait, Kate wore a Reiss belted Nanette gown with three-quarter length sleeves and a frill along the zip is thought to have cost £159 in their 2009 Autumn/Winter collection and is no longer available, however
Reiss are bringing the dress back as part of Reiss's Core Collection in January 2011. Kate paired the dress with a £275 pair of earrings from
Links of London.

I prefer this more relaxed natural shot of the royal couple :) |
Kate wore the dress in the more formal of two official photographs of William and Kate taken by Mario Testino. In the more laid-back shots, she selected a white scallop edge blouse worn which costs £95 from
Whistles and is current stock.

Kate wearing the Reiss Nanette Dress |
When Kate and William announced their engagement on November 16, her £399 royal blue dress by Issa, sold out in a day! Tesco brought out a £16 replica of the blue dress, as seen
here. Her most recent ensembles are already being touted on eBay at inflated prices, but expect to see more purse-friendly replicas on a high street near you very soon.
I do love the royal blue dress she wore during the TV interview...
ReplyDeleteLovely couple and their dresses too.
