This week I have been testing the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hour foundation in shade ‘200 soft beige’ which claims to be transfer proof,
hydrating and lightweight feel. Sweat, heat, humidity and transfer proof for up
to 25 hours. I am not sure how often you would need to wear a foundation for 25
hours at a time – a long haul flight to Australia perhaps?!

The foundation comes in a sleek glass bottle with a pump
which is more hygienic. It took a little work to blend the foundation into my skin;
I found applying with fingers worked the best as with as applying with a brush tended
to go on a little streaky. The foundation had a nice fresh scent which disappeared
once it settled into my skin and it almost turned to powder and gave a natural
slightly dewy finish but with it being so lightweight it felt like I was not
wearing any foundation. It provided a
medium coverage without being too cakey or heavy and I hardly needed to apply
much as a little goes a long way.

My skin is normal/combination (slightly dry in some areas)
and I think this foundation is perfect for my skin type, with it being enriched
with a revitalising Mineral Complex and moisturising Aqua primer my skin felt
silky smooth. I didn't apply a powder to set the foundation, or use a primer
and it had brilliant staying power – no touch ups were needed after a good 15
hours of wearing this. This is a perfect drugstore foundation is you are on a
budget and the only downside I would say to this is that it only comes in 6
shades so if you are any darker than this ‘soft beige’ shade you will struggle
finding a match.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation costs £6.99 and is
available from Boots. Have you tried this foundation? What are your thoughts?
Great review!
ReplyDeleteI want to give this a try someday. :)
I recently bought this foundation and really like it! The shade range is awful as the lightest shade is too dark for me when I'm pale :/ I love the longevity and coverage of this foundation and it's fab for the price! xxx
ReplyDeletei wish we got rimmel here :\
