Photoactive Sun Veil is a triple active micro-mineral sunscreen that delivers broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection, fights free radicals and harnesses beneficial light energy for a laser effect that gives the complexion a radiant, even toned appearance. It is free from chemicals, sulphates, parabens, silicons, colours, synthetic fragrances and nano particles, it is easily absorbed and avoids the whitening effect of many sunscreens. Not just a sunscreen, it also incorporates an anti-aging active. How does it work? Fluosphores from Noni Extract are capable of absorbing harmful UV rays and transforming them into visible red light which is proven to be very beneficial for the skin. It works by boosting the expression of elastin, firming and revitalising the skin.
Forget all the fancy creams out there, the best skincare item you can use on your face to prevent premature aging is sun protection. I always use a high sun protection on my face when I am going out in the sun but I always tend to forget to use a SPF cream when in the UK - although most of my makeup contains SPF. I think what puts me off is normally I find SPF quite greasy and when applying makeup over the top I find it just slides off! The REN Photoactive sinks in quickly and doesn't leave a white film, but leaves the perfect base for makeup that is smooth, hydrated but not at all greasy. I shall look forward to trying this out over the next week and keep up applying SPF in England over the Summer.
REN Photoactive Sun Veil is priced at £26 for 50ml and shall be launched in May 2012 and available from Liberty, Selfridges, John Lewis & Look Fantastic.
sounds like a really great product! Im so sensitive about my skin since I got back from travelling and a total nut about protection from the sun. I'd love to try it but its a little too pricy for me atm. :-(
ReplyDeleteThis sounds fab. I tend to overlook sun protection in the UK too if I am just going back and forward to work or on daily errands for the same reason as you in that I find most SPF quite greasy. This sounds like it would be great for everyday usage and for a base for makeup.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to finally see a SPF in Ren's range (although hoping it would be a SPF 30 as I'm using quite a few actives at the moment). Looking forward to testing this instore.
