TOWIE Gemma Collins launches Plus Size Fashion Collection
ITV's The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE) Reality star Gemma Collins has launched her debut self-titled plus-size clothing collection in sizes 16 to 22 today. Drawing on her own experiences of struggling to find flattering and fashionable clothing in larger sizes, the Gemma Collins Collection offers a variety of pieces including maxi-dresses, tops, blazer jackets, waterfall cardigans and wrap dresses. Prices start from £30 and the collection is now available to purchase online.
Gemma says: “I am so happy to be able to offer bigger girls a clothing range that they can show their curves off in – why should plus-size girls be stuck wearing black and try to cover up? Just because you’re bigger it doesn’t mean you can’t dress well and be glam– girls should be proud of their figure no matter what size you are – I am!!”
What do you think to Gemma's new Plus-Size clothing range?

I have to say I agree with some other bloggers who have commented on this range - why on earth does it stop at a size 22 - for a plus size range its hardly being all inclusive as it claims
ReplyDeleteCompletely agree. It's not THAT plus size if it stops at a 22. Tut!
DeleteI heard she is bringing out some of the dresses up to size 36 x
DeleteInteresting I wonder its thats in response to some of the negativity if it isn't the whole size range should have been released at once
Deleteit would be a good idea but, what the hell is that advertising photo: an apple in one hand, a cake in the other? i hope the range is not all like this dress. the sleeves are totally wrong and would even make a 'skinny' person look fat. the sleeve stops at the fattest bit of the arm, making the arm even bigger than what it is. i am all for empowerement of big sizes but this dress is wrong and makes her bust even larger than it is: you do not have such a high neck for larger sizes woman as it makes your breast even bigger, chunkier and like a whole block. I dont know how long it took to design the range but judging by this dress alone, it looks rushed and not very well thought out. umph.

Im all for plus sizes but that photo? not being mean but its horrible, her tan and the barbie pink? all wrong! She should have gone for a more natural look:/
ReplyDeleteWrap dresses are a great look. But I must agree that the photo is less than gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteIt may be true that she's reaching some "bigger girls", but it's quite a limited range.
ReplyDeleteI am continually amazed by the amount of information available on this subject. What you presented was well researched and well worded in order to get your stand on this across to all your readers. casuallook
