Benefit Fine One One

Last night I went along to the product launch of Benefit's new Fine One One - a sheer brightening colour for cheeks and lips. This sheer brightening trio revives lackluster cheeks and lips. The applicator contains three shades - pink champagne (to highlight); sheer watermelon and soft coral all blend together in one cream-to-powder formula to give you instantly lifted, sculpted cheekbones!

Although the shades look bright in the stick, one quick sweep upwards results in quite subtle and natural fresh glow to the cheeks but the colour is buildable if you prefer a more noticeable look. The cream is really simple to apply straight from the applicator and blends together easily with your fingers and the powder finish means it lasts on the skin. I adore the fun packaging and the natural flush effect on the cheeks - its the perfect shade that would suit all skin types as its buildable to personal preference. Personally, I wouldn't use this product on my lips but it's perfectly fine to!

Benefit Fine One One launches this Saturday 26th January 2013 priced at £23.50 available from Debenhams, John LewisBoots & House of Fraser. Are you a fan of cream blusher? What do you think to Fine One One?

Selfridges The Silence Room

When Selfridges first opened it's doors in 1909, Harry Gordon Selfridge created a Silence Room where busy shoppers could "retire from the whirl of bargains and the build up of energy". They announced yesterday that they are bringing it back as part of their No Noise initiative on 11th January 2013. Designed by architect Alex Cochrane, this reincarnation of the Silence Room has an insulated inner-sanctum, shielded from the noise and human traffic of the store.

Join Selfridges as they pay homage to minimalist design with a carefully curated edit of fashion, accessories and beauty products. Some of the world's most recognisable brands have taken the symbolic step of removing their logos in our collection of de-branded products - including Beats by Dre, Levi's, Marmite and Crème de la Mer - each creating exclusive collector's items. They have also partnered up with Headspace, the modern meditation experts, to deliver an extra helping of peace and quiet with your shopping. Look out for the Headspace pods throughout the store - each one offers a different guided meditation, to help calm busy heads.

You can see all the No-Noise products here. Will you be visiting The Silence Room? What do you think to de-branded products?
