Windle & Moodie Haircare Collection

Last week I went along to Windle & Moodie salon in Covent Garden for the launch of their haircare line. Hairdressing duo Paul Windle and Neil Moodie have 30 years experience in the industry working with A-list celebrities and models have launched a new haircare collection.

The collection boasts 22 eco-friendly shampoos, conditioners, treatments and styling products that include the key organic ingredients of rooibos tea, green tea and natural coconut, argan, manoi, apricot, camellia and oat oils. All the hair products are infused with high-quality teas which are known for antioxidant properties, free of sulphates, propylene glycol, silicones and parabens and they are made in Yorkshire.

The notable products in the collection are Invisible Day & Night Cream, which is a light moisturiser that brings the skincare concept into haircare. This can also be used as a hand cream even on the most sensitive of skins! Foundation Spray is a detangler and moisturiser which prepares hair for styling; and Essentials Oils Elixir is a pre-shampoo treatment which nourishes and perfects glossy hair. I'm looking forward to trying these!

Windle & Moodie Haircare collection is launching in Liberty London on 1st September and priced between £12.50-£29.

Monday Manicure: Leighton Denny 'Where's my Limo?'

Happy Monday! Thought I would share my new favourite polish that I have been sporting on my nails over the past week. This lovely chic off-white pale grey shade is 'Where's my limo?' by Leighton Denny part of his new AW14 collection out in October. This polish is long lasting, chip resistant and high gloss. I have certainly put the longevity to the test as I moved house last week and I'm so impressed that my nails are still perfectly polished and there are no chips what so ever!

Leighton Denny Nail Polishes are priced at £11 each and are available from Marks and Spencer. What do you think to the off-white nails trend?

GLOSSYBOX Stars & Stripes July 2014

GLOSSYBOX has gone stateside with a special edition 'Stars and Stripes' themed box this month. The box showcases the best transatlantic beauty discoveries from brands across the pond. Inside the box...

Carmex Lip Balm (*full size* worth £2.69)
Loved by celebrities and makeup artists all over the world, Carmex is the original lip balm and the only way to soothe dry, chapped lips. This handbag staple contains menthol, camphor and beeswax, lips are nourished, conditioned and protected from the elements all year round.

Color Club Glossy Seal (*full size* worth £5)
Colour Club nail polish is proudly made in New York with only non-toxic, cruelty free ingredients. This shade Glossy Seal has been exclusively formulated for Glossybox.

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4 in 1 mascara (worth £9.50)
I've heard so much hype around this mascara so I'm very happy to receive this mini version to try. It is claimed by many to be their hero mascara with conditioning properties that helps to lengthen, curl, create volume and healthy, longer lashes all in one. This 4-in-1 mascara is dermatologist and clinically proven to increase the appearance of lash volume!

Bellapierre Cosmetics Mineral Lipstick (*full size* worth £20)
This cult American favourite is formulated with natural waxes, mineral pigments and antioxidants including Vitamin C and Vitamin E, providing long lasting colour and protection against the sun. I adore the orangey-red shade 'Mandarina' I received and look forward to trying however, it seems very expensive for a lipstick!

Absolute New York Perfecting Eyeshadow Primer (*full size* worth £2.50)
This oil-free, ultra creamy formula evens skin tone around the eye area and keeps eyeshadow crease-free and colour-true for a lasting look. This is not a brand I'm familiar with and don't tend to use eye primers so I shall pass this onto a friend to try.

This month's box had a nice selection of products and I loved the American theme, four of five were full size. I have totted up the value of the products and it comes to roughly £39.69 which for £10 (plus £2.95 P&P) is not bad! I am most pleased and excited about the mascara and lipstick! You can find out more and order your own GLOSSYBOX here.

What do you think of this month's GLOSSYBOX? Did you receive anything different to mine? Are you a GLOSSYBOX subscriber?

Starbucks Cookies & Cream Frappuccino

Last week I went along to the gorgeous Nailberry Salon in Fulham to celebrate the launch of Starbucks bottled Cookies & Cream Frappuccino. I enjoyed a Cookies and Cream themed luxury facial and manicure from KatyandTaty team at their exclusive pop-up "frapp-spa".

The facial used Lavera products and included a fresh face mask made from pure coca, oatmeal, almond oil and fresh sour cream. The chocolate mask was specially created for the event and when applied to my face it smelt so delicious that I did try a little (it was edible) and it tasted as nice as it smelt! The luxury facial left my skin feeling plumped up, glowy and super soft afterwards.

After my facial I was treated to a vanilla inspired manicure that featured a specially made sugar and vanilla hand scrub made with almond oil and vitamin E and that also smelt so good I had a taste of that too! I went for Nailberry's own brand Iced Mocha nail polish to go with the cookies and cream theme.

The new Starbucks Frappuccino Cookies and Cream is a delicious blend of Starbucks Fairtrade coffee and fresh milk with the taste of cookies and cream that you can enjoy on the go or at home. Starbucks Bottled Cookies & Cream Frappuccino is available now priced at £1.79.

Have you tried a bottled Starbucks Frappuccino? What are your favourite flavours?

Product Rave: Water Wipes

My sister has 2 children and she is currently nearly 6 months pregnant expecting twins! There are so many new products on the market since her last pregnancy 5 years ago and she is conscious of using natural and organic products where possible on delicate babies skin.

I went shopping with my mum recently and baby wipes were on offer for £1 so she decided she would bulk buy ready for the new arrivals! The ones she selected were for babies with sensitive skin and when I pointed out these wipes contained ACETONE (nail polish remover) on the ingredients list she was horrified! I'm sure you wouldn't wipe nail polish remover on your own skin never mind a baby's delicate skin! I'm shocked that these are allowed to be sold with such harsh ingredients and marketed as being suitable for 'sensitive skin'.

I've noticed a lot of hype about Water Wipes being the 'world's purest baby wipes'. They are suitable for newborns and babies of all ages with sensitive skin and help to avoid nappy rash, dry skin and eczema. They are non greasy, extra soft and recommended by midwives free from preservatives as they contain none of the ingredients typically found in other wet wipes. They are expensive for what they are basically 99% water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract but they are much kinder to the skin, and many of the parent reviews said they cleared up their child's eczema, so in my opinion they are worth the extra money. You can buy them from Boots priced £2.50 or Superdrug for £2.39 for a pack of 60 wipes, or you buy 25 packs in bulk from Amazon and they work out cheaper.

Have you tried Water Wipes? What did you think?
